Rained Out

Thanks to the possibility of half dollar sized hail and 70 mph wind, I'm writing this post from Valley Inn in Sioux Falls, SD. We passed many more miles of cornfields today during our drive through Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Luckily there were a few other sights points of interest along the way. Included in the notable sights were numerous cheese shops (one featured 150 types of cheese!) and Vet's Whoa 'n' Go! Interesting street signs aside, we really did see some neat sights. First we passed alongside Chicago, got to see the skyscrapers as we drove by. Later on when we crossed into Minnesota, we drove over the Mississippi River. Guess we're really getting west now.

Our first sight of Chicago. Much better approaching than going when we were stuck in 32 miles of construction.
View from the car in Wisconsin.
As much of the Mississippi as we could capture on my phone's camera. Doesn't do it justice.
